Magical Monday! A Game of Tag!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to Magical Monday!
These posts have been a bit sporadic as of late for a number of reasons.  The most significant is that I've adopted the rule of doing things mainly because they are fun and the there were portions that had become largely un-fun.
However! I've nifty things to show you today, so let's get started!

First! Stuck in a traffic jam with an unusual view!
This is not my photo (though I wish the experience was!) of a prop of Jabba's Floating Palace from the Star Wars - Return of the Jedi.  Credits and details are here!

Next up!  Escher in Legos!
Photo and creation credits are here!
I've always been fascinated with Escher's work (as many have) and having something inspired by him made out of Legos is full of win and whimsy!

Last, but certainly as full of win, this!
Photo credits and details are here!
I would absolutely eat at this pizzeria!  Wouldn't you?

And now for news of upcoming Sprite Creations events! There is a second session in the Welcome to Being Human series on BlogTalk Radio!
Sunday, Oct. 27th at 5pm (CST, USA) Cheryl Patton and I will be chatting about often impossible pedestal we humans (especially those in the healing arts) are placed on and the stifling effects of "always staying positive".
Who put us up there anyway?
Join us for insight, laughter and fun as we poke at the foiables and follies of life as Human Beans!
See you Wednesday!
Ciao!

Magical Monday! What If?

Hello Hello!

Welcome to Magical Monday!

For those just joining us, Magical Monday posts are intended to showcase interesting, unusual and beautiful projects, ideas and events to assist in making the world a little more magical!

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who attended the Charity Event I was blessed to partake in on Friday!  It was so much fun to meet all of you, despite the mini-hurricanes! YAY!!

This post is all about the question of What If?

The question surrounding this photo is...what if this could give you iron bones?

Credit for and details about the photo and situation are here. Wouldn't it be awesome to have iron bones?!

Next Up!

What if you inflated hot air balloons indoors?

Credit for and details about the photo and situation are here.   This looks like fun to me!!!

And now, for our final What If....

What if you could recreate iconic movie scenes (such as the scene in the original Star Wars movie where Luke and his X-wing succeed in blowing up the Death Star)? Well, here you go!

Credit for and details about the photo and situation are here.

Thanks for the visit!

I'll see you on Wednesday!

Ciao!

Magical Monday! Easter Eggs, Peeps and Star Wars!

Hello Hello!

Welcome to Magical Monday!

I've collected three little vignettes to brighten your day that center around the celebration of Easter and Star Wars!

A little eclectic and perhaps eccentric, yet definitely fun!

Whee!

Let's start with Easter first!

I don't have much information about this tree, who attached those eggs and so forth, but I can tell you that it is a marvelous sight to behold!

Credit for this photo and perhaps more information are here!

Peeps are awesome all year 'round, but most especially at Easter!

Here is one of the more uncommon ways to use Peeps...replicate our Solar System with them! Credits and details are here!

We'll finish this with a car I'd love to drive everyday! Credits and details are here!

Isn't that just delightful!? I love the 'carbon scoring' and the R2 'droid and just about everything about this!

It warms my heart to know that someone, somewhere, is driving that around and brightening a more mundane world in the process!

YAY!

So! I'll look forward to seeing you on Whimsy Wednesday! Ciao!

Magical Monday! Space and Time!

Hello Hello!

Welcome to Magical Monday!

I'll start with a big Thank-You! to everyone who stopping by our booth at the Burst Into Spring event on Saturday! This was our first time at this mini-convention and we had a fabulous time! Everything was infused with cheerfulness and joy in all things growing! YAY!!

This post features amazing art, an excellent way to enjoy the Winter Season and a heart-warming story.

Let me show you!

This is an absolutely amazing bit of papercraft by David Canavese!!!

Details and credits are here.

I can only imagine how much intricate work and skill this took to create!

Bravo!

Still following the Star Wars and Millenium Falcon theme, we have an awesome Dad helping his child enjoy the fun of Winter!

Details and credits are here! That looks like a lot of fun!!!

Let's finish up with heart-warming news about Japan and saving the one remaining tree after the tsunami.... Click here for photos and details!

I love seeing the natural world valued and nurtured! YAY!!

I hope you are able to take those bits of joy out into your world!

Before we part ways, I've a BlogTalk Radio Interview to mention!

Yes!

It is the Message From the Faeries for March, 2013! Tomorrow, March 19th, from 3-3:30pm (CST,USA)! Click here for the link and more details!

I hope you can listen in and that I'll see you back here for Whimsy Wednesday!

Magical Monday! Lights, Steam and Star Wars!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Magical Monday!
I hope your weekend was a blast!! Mine was full of good company, excellent food, much laughter and fun! YAY!
We're going to hop around a few different universes this Magical Monday post! We'll begin our adventure with Star Wars, wind through a bit of a Faerie and Enchanted Forest and end up landing solidly in the Steampunk Realm! Let's go!

Whoever did this in their freezer is awesome! I'd a little sad that we don't have a freezer that lends itself to recreating this because I would giggle every time I opened the freezer and glimpsed this!
Then again, perhaps my electrical bill (and freezer) will be grateful that I can't make this a reality just now!
Details and credits are here!

Shaking off that snow, let's flit into a much warmer and magical world of woods, faeries and mysterious lights!
Aren't those just wonderful??
I'm not exactly certain if these are real wood or composite and how they are constructed, but I'd love to know!
Here is where I found them on the 'Net!

Our final destination continues to be warm (some would say steamy, even!) and full of imagination and invention!
The Museum of the History of Science at the University of Oxford in the UK held a Steampunk Exhibition!
It was chock-full of delightful curiosities and has been recording for your viewing pleasure here!
Fabulous!
And as we circle down and into our own worlds, I hope this gives your imaginations a recharge!
See you on Wednesday!
Whee!
Ciao!

Most Awesome Elevator Ever!

This would be an excellent setting option to have on one of my fans!

Magical Monday! Beautiful Clouds.. and a Unicycle?!

Hello Everyone!!!
Welcome to Magical Monday!
My weekend was fabulous and I hope yours was as well!
I have all sorts of nifty to show you today and I think I'll start with the beautiful and ethereal and end with the awesomely surreal!
So! For the beautiful and ethereal...

This image courtesy of Your Soulful Nature on Facebook! I have no idea if it is altered in any way but it looks so inviting, relaxing and nourishing all at once!

On to the still ethereal and shifting to nifty, I present Cloud Lights by Wedding High! This includes a DIY tutorial so you can make it yourself (which I might just do...hrmmm...!)

And lastly, to the awesomely surreal!
Darth Vader in a traditionally-inspired kilt, playing the bagpipes on a UNICYCLE!!!!
Clicky!
And yes, yes that *is* the Star Wars theme he is playing on the bagpipes while riding the Unicycle down the street! For the Win!!!

So, I hope this helps infuse some Magic into your Monday and I'll see you on Wednesday!
Ciao!

Magical Monday! The Lighter Side of Inspiration!

Hello Everyone!!
I've found a few bits of inspiration to share today that seem to span two different worlds, yet to me are really all about creating and living the life you want!

This first photo needs no inspiration explanation for any Sci-Fi Geek or Star Wars Fan!

It is true that this room is made of awesome and win! and that the owner(s) have definitely created a home that celebrates their passion and interests! Yet, it is also true that The Rebellion, Luke, Leia, Han and so many others in the Star Wars movies fought and strived to create the lives they wanted.

The video link here is the second bit of information I have for you and is about a mother of 4 children who found something she loved and used it to change her life and those of her family in healthy and inspirational ways!

Let's go out and create a bit more of what we want in our lives, yes?
YES!
See you Wednesday!
