"Working" and New Creations!

I've been busy "working" all week. Some of that work was out and about in the world and some of it was in the studio. I have several commissions that I am working on and have completed one and am sending the picture-proofs off for another! YAY!
In the meantime, I created these beauties!!

While I Was Out...

It is a recent development for me to find something I can create out in the world while still playing reasonably well with others! I've tried to create art other than rings out in the world whilst still being a good conversation partner and I end up feeling as though I cheated everyone of critical attention, including me! Whilst I was creating the latest bevy of beautiful rings (shown below) at The Edge Coffee Shop this week, people took notice! The rings received attention and compliments, much to my delight! And there could be a commission in the works!

There can be only one!

Actually, there can be many rings but only one of each design!
Now that I have your attention....
I wanted to show you some of the rings that I created whilst I was away from home on Wednesday!
I am a bit sad as I wasn't able to take pictures of two of them. One was a commission for a new-found friend that I created while at the home studio, and the other ring was adopted by this same friend within an hour after it was created! YAY!

The first ring was an iridescent blue fish on silver-colored tarnish-resistant wire. I am so pleased with this as the fish is able to flip freely back and forth on the ring structure so he looks like he's swimming on my friend's finger!
The second ring is an abstract wavy pattern on a blue-so-dark-it-is-purple wire. The interesting thing about this ring is that when I was coiling the wire on both sides, the tension was such that the portions of the ring immediately around the bead mimiced the wavy pattern! Very Cool!

Now that I've described those rings that I have no photo for *sad face*... I'll show you the photo of the remaining new creations. I hope you like them as much as I do!

A Short Summary of What I've Been Up To:

There has been much reorganization of the studio and will be more now and then as I tweak things so they work better.

Commissions:
I'm nearing completion on a set of earrings and ear cuff that involve mice and the CHEESE! beads that I posted about earlier.
It's person seems pleased with the design and now I just need to bend some wires to my will and it will be done!! *MMmmwwwaaahahhaahaa!**

I shipped out a commission yesterday that came through Etsy. This brooch has been in the works for a little while and I was glad to send Waterbaby on her way to her new home! You can see her at the top of this post.

I've been busy researching shows in which to display my creations. My goal is to participate in shows that would not only provide a living for me, but have a higher purpose as well.
