Magical Monday! Structures and Building!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Magical Monday!
I hope your weekend full of adventures and joy!
I wanted to say a special Thank-you to all who stopped by for a visit at our Shop Local event at Monthei Fine Art Studio! It was much fun! I always enjoy visiting historical places as I love the architecture and the stories the homes and buildings seem to whisper!
So returning to historic Uptown/Downtown Minneapolis was a treat!

Speaking of buildings... this post is all about structures and what folks build out there in the wide, wide world!
Let's start our travels in India!
This is a tree-bridge are woven from the living roots of the fig tree!
Details and credits are here! Absolutely beautiful! The link to the BBC video about these bridges is here!

Next we arrive in Zundert, Netherlands for the Bloemencorso Flower Parade! Dahlias are grown all year long and then used to create these absolutely stunning parade floats every September!
This is my favorite of the floats! It is so true to life and and full of play-full-ness and whimsy!
You can find more photos, details and credits here!

And we end this post's journey today in Poland!  A tiny Poland!
Click here for the video, credits and details! It is amazing!

And there you have it!
A magical journey for your Monday!
Thank-you for travelling with me today and I'll see you on Wednesday!
Ciao!

Magical Monday! Bubbles, a Building and a Home!

Hello Everyone!!
Welcome back to another Magical Monday! My weekend was full of fun, laughter, good friends and good food! That is my favorite kind of time well-spent and I hope it was the same for you!

I have a bunch of nifty things to show you today, so let's get started!
With BUBBLES!!!

It is a moral imperative to have a beautiful photograph of bubbles on a Magical Monday series of posts! I regret that I could not find the artist for this amazing photograph, so I can not give credit where it is due. Alas!

This next photograph is of a Cathedral composed of LED lights built for Belgium's 2012 Light Festival and is by Stijin Coppens.
epic win photos - LED Cathedral WIN
Absolutely brilliant (HA!!!) In all seriousness, this is a breathtaking creation!

So there we have the bubbles and the building...where is the home?
It is just below!
epic win photos - Rotating Bedroom WIN
Isn't that fascinating? It took me a bit to figure out quite how everything is turned to accommodate all the functions shown in the photos! I think this is ingenious and I'd love to hear how comfortable and liveable it is!
So here we are.. at the end of another Magical Monday!
I'll look for you on Whimsy Wednesday!
Ciao!

Magical Monday! Building and Bridges!

Hello!!!
Welcome to Magical Monday!! I hope your weekend was fabulous!
As I was gathering inspiration for this post, I noticed a theme. Much of what caught my attention are mechanical things, things involving building and so forth (hence the title of the post!). This is probably only natural as I continue to refine and reorganize my own studio and a bit of the environment around me! Perhaps it is also makes sense in that, for many cultures, Winter has been or is a time of restricted outdoor activity, so thoughts naturally turn to how to improve those things close to heart or home. With that said, let's take a look at the first goodie I have for you today!

This photo has been titled Making A Bridge, though I can't seem to find whom to credit for the photo nor any information about which bridge is being built and etc. The original link to it is epic win photos - Making a Bridge WIN
here.
There is not much that I don't love about this photo...including the working man standing casually on two cables very very high above a big bunch of water!

The second goodie I have for you is a video! It is a bit long at just under 17 minutes, but is smartly made and clips right along. Of course, I LOVE the subject of the video and am so impressed by the lady who is featured in it!
Here it is then, for your viewing pleasure:
One Woman's Quest to Build Her Own Tardis!

So delightful! YAY! Perhaps *I'll* attempt to build my own Tardis now!!!
Hmmm.. where did I leave those tools?.....
Ciao!
