Who wouldn't love to this this as they are traveling through life?
More of this - Yes! Please!

This next art bit is a fabulous rendition of a Dalek and a smart discount strategy!
 Details and credits are here.
I would hang around that establishment as much as possible in hopes of seeing a real, working Tardis!
Whee!!!

Let's finish this post with a wonderful tapestry of natural and man-made art!
Credits and details are here.
Isn't that wonderful?!
So that's it for Magical Monday!

Magical Monday! Paper and PC!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Magical Monday!
In sifting through all the fun things I wanted to show today, it seems things either fell into the Technology/Computer or Paper theme! How interesting!

First, I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU! to all of our friends, old and new, that stopped by for a visit, a chat and to adopt Sprite Creations this past Saturday at the Women's Art Festival! The weather was far better than expected! It was a busy, happy show and our hearts are full with all the love and joy that was shared with us! This show has a very special, welcoming vibe to it and it was lovely to be surrounded by such talented colleagues and awesome people! Thank You!

Onward to more Fun Stuff!
This photo has been casually titled "Blending In" and I think that's perfect!
Details and credits for this are here! I love the expressions on everyone's face! I am especially amused by how serious the older gentleman is! I bet he's hamming it up for the camera! I wonder what the specs are on *his* laptop?! Hee hee!!!

Perhaps if he had the PC pictured below, he'd be happier? Details and credits for this are here! I *heart* *heart* (get it?!) this case! Whoever built this is awesome! I suspect that this would be a very popular item, should it go into production! I wonder if a working Time Travel app is included?

Speaking of Time Travel, let's sit back and relax with a little bit of old-school technology in this sunny and inviting Book Nook!
Details and credits for this are here! And when the daylight fades, I'd imagine this could offer a wonderful view of the stars!

In conclusion, I've a link to a video tutorial on creating a paper airplane and wind-tunnel for testing it!
Doesn't that look like fun! First, I have to be able to fold a paper airplane that precisely!!! So that's it for Magical Monday! I hope it lightened your spirits and outlook!
One more bit of Sprite Creations Event News!
I've a BlogTalk Radio Interview tomorrow, (Tuesday) at 3pm (CST, USA)! Cheryl Patton and I will be chatting about Holiday Messages From the Faeries!
It would be excellent to have you tune in!
Also? See you Wednesday!
Ciao!

Fini Friday! Momentos and Forging Ahead!

Hello Hello!

Welcome to Fini Friday!

I hope your week was fabulous and that your weekend looks to be even better! I've a few souvenirs from CONvergence to show and tell and a creation still growing to share with you today!

First! The momentos!!

On the right, you'll find a paper Tardis! This was left in one of the room parties and I happily gave it a new home!  I have also now discovered a nifty new website!!!

The pattern for this is free and downloadable at Cubeecraft.com! All of the patterns are created for the standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, so these are ready to be cut out and assembled and Voila! Your very own Tardis!! Or Yoda! Or....well just go take a look!

The other two bits will be incorporated into jewelry or a creation of some sort.. I'm just not certain what yet....

The guitar pick was actually used by Prince and was given to me by the gentleman the musician gifted it to. I was given the honor of hearing the story behind this guitar pik and will use that as part of the inspiration for weaving it into a creation! YAY!

On to a creation in mid-growth! This is part of a "Pay It Forward" challenge on Facebook that artists chose to take up a while back. The first five folks that responded to the artists' status declaring their intent to create and send out free art into the world are supposed to receive that free art. I'm a bit late on the creation of these and I thought I'd show you this first creation-in-process...

It is to be a bookmark/necklace combination and has the fairy as the clasp. I'll be certain to show you what it looks like completed!

That's it for this Fini Friday post!

Have a lovely weekend!

Ciao!

Magical Monday! Building and Bridges!

Hello!!!
Welcome to Magical Monday!! I hope your weekend was fabulous!
As I was gathering inspiration for this post, I noticed a theme. Much of what caught my attention are mechanical things, things involving building and so forth (hence the title of the post!). This is probably only natural as I continue to refine and reorganize my own studio and a bit of the environment around me! Perhaps it is also makes sense in that, for many cultures, Winter has been or is a time of restricted outdoor activity, so thoughts naturally turn to how to improve those things close to heart or home. With that said, let's take a look at the first goodie I have for you today!
This photo has been titled Making A Bridge, though I can't seem to find whom to credit for the photo nor any information about which bridge is being built and etc. The original link to it is
here. There is not much that I don't love about this photo...including the working man standing casually on two cables very very high above a big bunch of water!

The second goodie I have for you is a video! It is a bit long at just under 17 minutes, but is smartly made and clips right along. Of course, I LOVE the subject of the video and am so impressed by the lady who is featured in it!
Here it is then, for your viewing pleasure:
One Woman's Quest to Build Her Own Tardis!

So delightful! YAY! Perhaps *I'll* attempt to build my own Tardis now!!!
Hmmm.. where did I leave those tools?.....
Ciao!
