Shinies in the Mail!

Though not exactly what I normally receive.... not bead-y things. The sidewalls for my tent arrived and we tested them out!
Here are outside and inside views.

Shinies in the Mail!

I thought you-all would like to see some of what I've received in the mail lately as I gear up for my shows!
The first photo is of creations that are all hand-wrought ceramic. If you detected a rainbow of colors and cats, you have a keen eye! Since one my upcoming festivals has a rainbow theme, I thought these fabulous cats in many colors would be fun to play with! Also, please note that everything you see in this photo is a limited edition. The artist is moving in new exciting and different directions and I won't be able to obtain these again. So, if you love what you see here, let me know!

The second photo is all metal, baby!

The chain is awesome, but I love the pegasus best of all :D

Enjoy!

Fairy Tapestry

I wanted to show you-all my new backdrop for all of my shows, faires and festivals! It was love at first sight with this Fairy Tapestry and I knew it had to come home with me! It fits perfectly with Sprite Creations!
I've been using it for a table cover until the recent construction of the framework that is portable, light weight and compact. And, voila! Now it is a backdrop!
So, look for it at the Faires and Festivals that you'll see me at this summer and stop by and say HI!
(Hint, the next one is June 27th and 28th in Loring Park, Minneapolis, MN USA.)

Learning Experience

The show on Saturday was a win and not-so-win.
Financially it was a not-so-win.
In terms of making connections, it was a win.
Lots of compliments from fellow artists and vendors.
Attendance was expected to be high, given what I had seen of a similar show hosted at the same place, with much the same compliment of vendors in March.
Attendance was less than 1/3 of that earlier show.
There were several factors involved with this, though none of them related to me or my creations, which is always good to know.
I will consider these factors in the future.

I've been able to get quite a bit of administrative things done that were put off in the flurry of pre-show activity. This is always good!
I'm creating new art with vintage glass and finishing a necklace that has been on my plate for quite some time.
The vibrant water-colors of it make my heart sing and it has more than a few nods to the Art Deco/Vintage genre.
When I have it finished, I'll post pictures...

In other show news:
My next show is June 27th and 28th- Pride!!! Loring Park, Mpls. See my website http:spritecreations dot dnsdojo dot com for details.
I'm excited to announce that I have finalized arrangements for the 2009 Coffee Crawl!
It is July 25th at the JS Bean Factory in Saint Paul, MN.
This show is all about supporting independent businesses! Indie art and artists in and indie coffee house. It doesn't get much better than that!
All of the Coffee Crawl artists will have a piece of their art displayed at the Bean Factory for the month of June! Stop by and check it out!

It is this Saturday from 10am to 7pm at the Earle Brown Heritage Center, 6155 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, USA

This is a new direction for me and I'm excited to see what unfolds!
It is perfectly in keeping with a concept that has always been near and dear to my heart: helping people help themselves.

Come on down and see it, me and my creations.
There are many, many new shinies that none of you have yet seen!!!
(How's that for incentive?!)

There is a ticket fee to get in. Follow this link to the website for details and a coupon!

Hope to see you there!
