Fini Friday! A Full Heart!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
This has been a busy week and I've missed posting nifty things for all of you!
I've much to share with you!
Shiny things first and then the news!

I've been wanting to create felt ornaments for quite some time and this bunch of Winter Holiday celebrations seemed the right time for hand-made (and heart-felt) gifts!
This double-sided heart is my first one!
Sparkly side first, of course!  All of the felt used is made from recycled fibers!  I'm pleased that this turned out to be such a warm, cheerful, whimsical and humble creation!
I've my eye on creating a moon, star, and perhaps owls or ?
Stay tuned to see what happens next!!!

And now, the news!
I've started working outside of Sprite Creations this week!
I love the new position, the company, the people and am so grateful to have this opportunity!  What does this mean for Sprite Creations, you ask?
Sprite Creations will continue (of course!) as well as the trend in the past year of only participating in physical shows that are the best match for us!  I am using this outside employment opportunity to keep Sprite Creations the beautiful, whimsical, magical gem that it is.
Please do keep in mind my online store ( Etsy shoppe), and that we're available to throw Sprite Creations parties at homes or offices as well as virtually and using Skype!
More details are on my website.
Have a fabulous weekend!!!
Ciao!

Fini Friday! Ageless Play!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
There was an unexpected delay in posting this week! It has been a rollercoaster of a week for me - so much going on!
So! Let's get to showing you a new creation!
This is the start of the finished creation I've to show today!
And here is the Fini creation!
Title: Ageless Play
Ingredients: Popcap Pendant (non-toxic, hand-coloured resin, Swarovski crystals (Fire Opal), stickers, popcap, metal), aluminum, reclaimed chain, lead-free pewter (USA).
Isn't that just a wonderful interplay of textures and colours?!  I love the Fire Opal coloured Swarovski crystals in the pendant!!! Other details include the accenting firey orange and red jumprings from which the fanciful clasp and intriguing pendant are suspended.  I just love that chain, don't you?! YAY!!!

Here is a close-up of that unique pendant!

Now you can really see the sparkly golden flecks of the pigment I mixed into the resin!  The scrapbook sticker in the background is a relief design of the original playing cards.  A Jack of Hearts, to be specific!  Isn't that fun!
So! Stay tuned to see what happens next with us!

Do bear in mind that whilst Sprite Creations is on hiatus from confirmed shows, we are available for home Sprite Creations shows as well as shows via Skype!
Feel free to visit my website or contact me for more details!

I've ONE more BlogTalk Radio Interview in 2013!

Fini Friday! All That Glitters is ...Copper?

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!

This week has been a bit of busy-craziness and a time of rest in hopes of warding off any winter ick!
I hope it has been an excellent week for you-all!
I've a creation just beginning and a creation still growing to show you today!
This is a copper candle sleeve.  I've had it for quite some time and have always thought of weaving beads into it.  Perhaps watery colours for an Atlantean feel... perhaps with gears, metal bits and filigree for a Steampunk theme... or something else entirely!
What will I do with it?
Stay tuned to see!

This is a necklace creation that is still growing!
It may look finished, yet I'd like to secure the 10-sided die a bit better in that hand-shaped filigree setting as well as create a wire-wrapped bail for it rather than the simple chain harness it has now.  There are all sorts of Fairy and sparkly details in this creation!  See if you can spy them all!
Check back here for photos of how this grows into completion!

News for the rest of December!
Due to some last minute glitches, Sprite Creations regrets to announce that we are bowing out of the Women's Art Festival this Saturday at the Midtown YWCA. If you are in the Minneapolis area, we highly encourage you to visit the Festival and support all the fabulously talented artists there!

Whimsy Wednesday! Sheriff's Star and News!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
This post will be more of a highlight reel of what is new in both creations and Sprite Creations event news, so let's get to it!
If you were able to join us at the Holiday Geek Expo, these two creations will be familiar to you!  So many of you are unable to join us in person that I wanted to show them off to YOU!
Title: Cycles of Time
Ingredients: lead-free pewter, suede, leather, aluminum, metal.
I love the mystery of this bracelet...and the contrast...both of colours, textures and symbols!  The Sheriff's star makes me giggle and I hope you do, too!  The close cuff-style of this leather bracelet in space-age, yet antiqued silver suede evokes the idea of a law-person's bracer from another culture!  Add to that the red leather wheel and unusual key charm and you have an enigma wrapped in sumptuous suede!  There is a story just waiting to be written by this creation!  Are you the one to write it?
And now for the news!
Due to some last minute glitches, Sprite Creations regrets to announce that we are bowing out of the Women's Art Festival this Saturday at the

Fini Friday! Leather and Steam!

Hello Everyone!
A very short post today as I show you one of the new creations available for adoption at the Holiday Geek Expo and then I'm off for the weekend!

This newest creation is a leather bracelet inspired by Steampunk!
Title: As Yet Unknown
Ingredients:  old watch gear, hand-finished brass(USA), lead-free pewter(USA),

 suede, metal.
Isn't this gorgeous?  And yes!  That is an old watch gear hanging as an accent on that fabulous wing!!
The wing, by the way, is a scrapbook finding that I drilled out on my drill press, antiqued and then hung from the softest of suede!

YAY!

Whimsy Wednesday! Faerie Flowers Redux!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!

This has been a busy week for me as I prepare for the upcoming shows as well as other tasks such as managing the weather this week!  There is snow, snow and more snow in my neck of the woods!  This is not unusual for this time of year, yet the snowfall has been steady since yesterday and with a mix of freezing rain.  It makes for interesting times!
I've listed a few creations that are new to my Etsy shoppe and that is what this post is all about!
Below are a few of the Faerie Flower barrettes just listed!
Title: In the Days of Ancient Egypt
Ingredients: Czech glass, ceramic scarab beetle, lead-free pewter(USA), jeweler's bronze, barrette, fabric, glitter, Fraycheck.
I embellished this fabric flower from an old lei that had been languishing around my studio for some time with glitter and Fray-check along the edges of the petals and then wire-wrapped elegant Czech glass beads in black and gold lotus flowers and a cat! Also nestled in the centre of the flower is a lapis luzuli-blue ceramic scarab beetle and lead-free pewter charm(USA) inspired by the lotus flowers on the ancient Egyptian pyramid columns. All of these details are firmly secured with Jeweler's Bronze wire. This Faerie flower is all about the sacred symbols of mighty ancient Egpyt and the adventure one might have there!

Ingredients: Czech glass, Artistic wire, glitter, fabric, Fraycheck, metal.
The wire-wrapping on this barrette includes beautiful and vibrant Czech glass beads in mysterious moonlight hues! This Faerie flower is all about the magic, majesty and mystery of the moon and doubly-so under a Harvest Moon!!
Let's wrap this up with December schedule news!!

Fini Friday! Buttoning Up Inspiration!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
Happiest of Thanksgivings to those who celebrated it yesterday or will celebrate it this weekend!!
Warmest wishes for a Bountiful Fall to those who don't celebrate the uniquely American holiday of Thanksgiving!

This post is all about what is inspiring me today!
Come along for the ride!
These are photos of two button drawers in a quite old treadle sewing machine!
I love gazing into them because of all the now-unusual contents!
It is as if I step back in time as I sort through the buttons, needles, beads and etc. with delight!
I can imagine many a scene in my head as to where these buttons came from...where and on what gown that shiny bit of trim was to be used....what happened to that other earrings..
What stories do you see?
Feel free to leave a comment below to share!!

Whimsy Wednesday! Giving Thanks!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to this Whimsy Wednesday!
For those of us in America, this is the day before Thanksgiving!! I love this holiday for it's focus on gratitude and the sharing of bounty!
My wish for all who read this is laughter, joy and magic tomorrow and through the rest of 2013!

In keeping with this theme of gratitude, I've some abundance to share today!
This is a wonderful bit of loot that I received in the mail from Rings and Things.com! This was completely unexpected and out-of-the-blue and such a wonderful little package to receive in the mail!
I believe I'll use the notebook to record bead supply lists (among other things!  Doesn't it look so handy?!  I love that the pen is secured in sturdy elastic!  Recycling is near and dear to my heart (and eco-friendly practices is one of Sprite Creations' priorities!) and I love the durable covers on either side!  YAY!
The roll of leather to the right of the notebook is an Olive Green, which will is a fabulous sylvan colour I can't wait to play with!  Many of the metal bits scattered around are raw brass and just waiting for resin...alcohol inks...riveting...bending or shaping, especially texturing by hammer....OOOOOOooooo!!! So many options!! Wheee!!!
I have to say, the one shape that amused me the most is the bottom-right-most bits of metal!  Those are, indeed, described as "Ninja Throwing Stars" !!! *giggle with maniacal glee*  And the last little batch of tiny heishe beads are grouped just below the notebook between the stamped metal hearts.  I'm not quite certain what I'll do with these yet, but ideas are bubbling around in my head even now!!!
THANKS RINGS&THINGS!!!!!
If any of these materials intrigue you, hop on over to Rings and Things.com and take a look!
They have so much goodness, you might spend a while browsing the possibilities...just sayin'!!!

So!
Have an excellent Thursday and I shall see you on Friday!!!
Ciao!!!
Legalese: I have received the following products free of charge from rings-things.com and I am honestly reviewing them. I have not been paid for my endorsement as it pertains to the products received: notebook with pen, heishe beads, green leather, all raw brass shapes pictured above.

Fini Friday! Showing Off the Skulls!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
Today has been a happily busy day for me as I prepare for my show tomorrow (amongst other tasks)!
I've a new creation that has grown into completion and will be available for adoption tomorrow!
Let me show you!
You may remember this Fini Friday post and the collection of beads and ideas introduced...
Here is what the yellow skulls grew into!
Title: As Yet Unknown
Ingredients: Howlite(dyed) stone skulls, vintage Czech glass, glass, leather (lead-free dye), sterling silver, aluminum, base metal.
I loved the idea of creating a multi-layer leather bracelet along a Day of the Dead and/or rainbow-faerie-skull theme!
I also wanted to incorporate motion, texture and meaning into the creation.  Motion (and therefore the bracelet doubles as a fidget toy- YAY!) is found in the collection of beads on either end of the bracelet...whilst texture abounds in the colour-rich, faceted vintage Czech beads and smaller, shiny foil-lined beads.
The knots provide a different contrasting texture and the silver double-heart toggle clasp echoes the overall shiny and light-ness of the creation!  The heart clasp also softens the effect of the skulls and evokes the Day of the Dead inspiration.

A few updates and news before I close...
I and Sprite Creations will be returning to the Arts Fest in North Branch (MN, USA) this Saturday!
Spot 5E in the Middle School Cafeteria (same as last year) is where you'll find me from 9am to 4pm!  (I'm in the yellow area on the diagram!)
There is food, arts and crafts of every kind and truly something for everyone! Seating is just across the way from me to rest your weary shopping bones!
Beat the "Black Friday"/Winter Holiday shopping rush and feel good purchasing local, hand-made goodies and supporting independent artists and craftsfolk!
$1 admission gets you all of this and a shuttle from the High School to the Middle School and back again!
See you there!!!

Whimsy Wednesday! Improvements and Insights!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
I've a small completed project to show you as well as an recorded interview that is wonderfully whimsical!
Let's get started!

First! The completed project!
This is a suitcoat that I've had for quite some time.  One of the buttons fell off a while ago and I hadn't gotten around to replacing it.  It was high time that happened and so I looked around for its replacement!  I found the perfect buttons, taken off a vintage faux fur ladies jacket, and sewed them on!
And here they are!  I love those buttons because they echo the pin-striping of the jacket and draw attention, but not too much!

And now, for a link to that interview I mentioned above!
This is an interview in 2010 with Benoit Mandelbrot, the Father of Fractals.  He himself seems quite whimsical and yet a profound thinker, to me!  The other reason I'm sharing this with you is that he says some insights that really resonate with me and might with you too!
"Sometimes declaring a problem impossible is also a great advance."
"A formula can be very simple and create a universe of bottomless complexity."
These two quotes are my favorite insights from the interview!
Feel free to leave a comment and let me know yours!

Fini Friday! New Beginnings!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
I hope you have exciting plans for the weekend!
I've new projects at their beginnings to show you today!

This is a photo of two bits of sleeves that I salvaged from a T-shirt with a Faerie on it!  These were added to the shirt to create a layered look, yet the shirt fit better (and I liked it more) without the added sleeves.  Those swirls and circles on the sleeves are really quite lovely and I'm not one to simply toss a useful thing aside!
So! I'm going to turn these into arm warmers!
What are arm warmers?  Very much like leg warmers (if you remember those), except for the arm!  The cuff will have a hole for the thumb to slip through.  Eventually, I'll find a way to secure the other open end, but I'll leave it hemmed for now.  I'm going to experiment with what works best before taking that step!  If you're still in the dark about what I'm up to, try an internet image search for arm warmers!  You'll find lots of ideas quickly!

This?  This is a workbench that has had all of this stuff on it for far too long!
I've decided enough is enough and I'm taking the space back!  Stay tuned as I show you how this progresses and what happens next!!!
Along the lines of what happens next... let me tell you about the

Whimsy Wednesday! Fluevogs, Faerie Sightings and Fun!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
A while back I mentioned that there would be some changes to this blog as I expanded the focus to "an uncommon life" (that would be mine!).  This is really about sharing more in the hopes of inspiring more!
Without further ado, let's get into this blog post!
Sunday I was honored to return to the Minneapolis Fluevog Store to offer Faerie Readings and assist in helping celebrate their 1st Anniversary!!!
There were puppets and jugglers, cake and wine, MN Roller Girls and excellent live music!
It was so much fun!
THANK YOU so much to those who joined us in partying as well as those who graced my little table for a Reading!
It was a privilege to assist you with your life questions!  It was also gratifying that the feedback was unanimously positive!  The comment I heard the most was some form of "This is spot-on!"  or "This is so accurate!"  The highest compliment came from a self-pronounced skeptic who gave praise to the accuracy of the information!  YAY!!!

Onward to more whimsy and the uncommon life theme!
I, like many of us, often have songs that pop into my head.  This has happened my whole life and the songs often speak to a current thought, mood or offer a flash of insight into a current challenge.  Indeed, I think there really is a soundtrack to my life!
So! Here are the snippets of the most current songs in my Internal Jukebox, as I like to call it!
"Heart and Soul" - Huey Lewis and the News
You see, she gets what she wants
'Cause she's heart and soul
She's hot and cold
She's got it all,

Heart and soul
Yeah she's heart and soul
She's hot and cold
She's got it all
She's heart and soul

And "So Alive" - Love and Rockets
I'm alive, oh oh, so alive
I'm alive, oh oh, so alive

Don't know what color your eyes are, baby
But your hair is long and brown
Your legs are strong and you're so, so long
And you don't come from this town

My head is full of magic, baby
And I can share this with you
The feel I'm on top again, baby
That's got everything to do with you

Of course you can find both of these songs on YouTube, if you're curious about them!
Finishing up this post, let me tell you about the

Fini Friday! Open and Closed!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
I've a finished creation to show you today that is a bit different than jewelry!
Let me recall to mind this Fini Friday post featuring the new materials acquired. Now!
Let me show you what has grown into completion!
The bag open....
And the bag closed...

Interesting details include the stitching along the bottom.
I hand-stitched the bottom with a pattern that developed as I was stitching. Once the bottom was done, it reminds me of basket-weaving!
The side is finished with an cross-stitch, with the fabric left unhemmed. It intrigues me to think that the edges will fray over time (only to the point of the stitches, of course) and I'm looking forward to seeing how that adds dimension and detail to the bag!
Other bits I love are finding the perfect ribbon to use as a drawstring!  That fiber strand flows beautifully between the rich golds and browns into vibrant green and back again!  YAY!!!
So there you have it!
The fini of this Fini Friday (and this creation!)

Before you go, I've an event coming up this Sunday to share with you!

Whimsy Wednesday! Changes on the Wing!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
I've a sneak peak at a modification project for you today!
You might remember a mention in this Whimsy Wednesday about a new set of wings!
Here they are!
I've had time to run them through a few test flights and now we to modify them!

Here are some of the modification materials!
What will be done with these?
What happens next?
Stay tuned and I'll share with you how this all grows into completion!

Also!  There is a custom creation in the works!!
I can't tell you a whole lot more about it, except that it uses these as inspiration!
Yes!! A custom creation with Faerie Dust Bottles!! Woohoo!!!

Fini Friday! Spookiness Fini!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
I hope your week had been full of mystery and fun so far!
I've a finished creation (just on the cusp on Halloween!) to show you today!

You might remember mention of ideas, plots and plans a few Fridays ago...
A photo of that beginning...

And here is the Fini!
Title: All Hallows, The Old Way
Ingredients: Czech glass, Artistic wire, metal, surgical steel earwires(hypo-allergenic).
Can you spy which beads and charms took root in the beginning and which wove their way in later?
All Hallows is one of three days of ancient Christian celebration spanning Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 (See Wikipedia for more details!).  It is a day to celebrate saints and martyrs both known and unknown.  A celebration similar to this and around this time of year spans several cultures and there is much lively debate as to the beginnings of these holidays.

I leave it up to you, Dear Reader, to decide what you like best.
As for me, I love the ancient symbols of wisdom, life, death, intuition, mystery, Faerie, stars, and so much more woven through these!

Have a most excellent weekend!
See you Monday!
Ciao!

Whimsy Wednesday! Googly Eyes and Childhood Friends!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to this Whimsy Wednesday which is chock-full of things I find whimsical and amusing!
It is my hope to help the world be a bit brighter by sharing magic and a good laugh!
Let's start with the Googly Eyes!
Googly Eyes are whimsical enough on their own!
Yet when paired with classic literature, it is wonderful!
Take a look! Aren't those amazing?!!
Let's finish up with the childhood friends!
I've been a longtime fan of Calvin and Hobbes and this little fan-made video of them dancing is delightful!
Click here for the video by Adamanimates!
Isn't that fun?!
So that is it for this Whimsy Wednesday!
See you on Friday!

Magical Monday! Extraordinary Good Luck!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Magical Monday!

I have a little gift to share with you-all today!

This is a photo of mine taken a few weeks back!
Let's see if you can see the connection with extraordinary good luck...
It is a little patch of clover.
Look at the bottom of the photo!
There is a four-leaf clover there.  Do you see it?
Now for the most extraordinary good luck...
Do you see the FIVE-leaf clover nearby?
Isn't that astounding?!!!

Here is my wish for all of us this week...
Have an AMAZING life!
See you on Wednesday!

Fini Friday! Skulls and Spice!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
It is Fall in our neck of the woods and we've already had a bit of snow and ice! The snow has nearly completely melted (thankfully!) as it was too warm for the ground to freeze just yet.
Pumpkins, scarecrows, crops being harvested and so forth are common sights and I love the rich, warm colours associated with this season! Why mention any of this? Read on and you'll see!!!

First, some creation ideas that are brewing...inspired by the upcoming All Hallow's Eve Holiday!
Methinks these will be earrings and the design touches a bit upon the Day of the Dead as well as the Fae.
The vision I've in mind is wire-wrapping the luscious, smaller multi-coloured beads around the skulls.
YAY!

These second set of skulls, dyed an intriguing yellow, are slated (at least right now) to be a bracelet...possibly on black leather! ...
Possibly with wrapping or braiding...
Hmmm...
Stay tuned to see what happens next!!!

And now...for the spice!
I love tea. Absolutely yes!
So, one of the ways I'm celebrating the season is with a seasonal tea!
MMMMmmmmmm!  Doesn't that look yummy?!  I've found that this company makes scrumptious teas, on the whole, and I'm looking forward to trying their Pumpkin Spice tea!
Not all spiced teas are created equal, so wish me luck on this one!!
Whee!!!
By the way... did you notice the background?  Perhaps it might look familiar....say from a post on Wednesday, perhaps?
Hee hee!

One last thing before we part company... There is a second session in the Welcome to Being Human series on BlogTalk Radio!
Sunday, Oct. 27th at 5pm (CST, USA) Cheryl Patton and I will be chatting about often impossible pedestal we humans (especially those in the healing arts) are placed on and the stifling effects of "always staying positive".
Who put us up there anyway?
Join us for insight, laughter and fun as we poke at the foiables and follies of life as Human Beans!
See you next week!
Ciao!

Whimsy Wednesday! Skulls and Sprucing Up!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
I've been creating in the studio as well as sprucing up a tad bit!  This post will show a little of both!
First, the new creation!
Title: As Yet Unknown
There are more creations inspired by the spooky part of the season growing up, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, let's chat about these earrings! The white skulls are howlite (which is often mistaken for turquoise) wrapped with hand-finished brass and accented with Czech glass and suspended from forest green Artistic wire. Howlite is thought to help focus the mind and articulate thoughts as well as calm the internal critic, stress, anger and etc.  Some also believe that this stone aids in inner knowing, opening the third eye and seeing into other dimensions/time-space continuum.  What an intriguing choice for skull beads, yes?

Next up!
A bit of that studio spruce up I mentioned!
I acquired a few new backgrounds for photos on a recent Walkabout!
Here they are! Both of the backgrounds are of gorgeous, heavy, textured paper with embossed designs! The brown flows with spirals and the green grows with leaves! Aren't they fetching?! The textures will add visual interest whilst the consist colour of the backgrounds will be an excellent backdrop in which to showcase my creations! YAY!!!!
You'll have to stop back by to see how and when these are used! Whee!

One last thing of note before we take our leave of each other...

Magical Monday! A Game of Tag!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to Magical Monday!
These posts have been a bit sporadic as of late for a number of reasons.  The most significant is that I've adopted the rule of doing things mainly because they are fun and the there were portions that had become largely un-fun.
However! I've nifty things to show you today, so let's get started!
First! Stuck in a traffic jam with an unusual view!
This is not my photo (though I wish the experience was!) of a prop of Jabba's Floating Palace from the Star Wars - Return of the Jedi.  Credits and details are here!

Next up!  Escher in Legos!
Photo and creation credits are here!
I've always been fascinated with Escher's work (as many have) and having something inspired by him made out of Legos is full of win and whimsy!

Last, but certainly as full of win, this!
Photo credits and details are here
I would absolutely eat at this pizzeria!  Wouldn't you?

And now for news of upcoming Sprite Creations events! There is a second session in the Welcome to Being Human series on BlogTalk Radio!

Fini Friday! Plots and Plans!

Hello Hello! Welcome to Fini Friday!
I hope your week has been filled with fun and adventure!
I've a few new ideas to show you in this post as well as a tad bit of news!
First! The plots and plans!
This is a necklace creation that I'm still developing. I like some of the chain options more than others...but I'm still not quite certain how this will play out! The gorgeous pendant in the center, by the way, is faceted smoky quartz and sterling silver! This might end up being a multi-layered chain necklace....or I might keep the design simple so as to show off that beautiful stone!
Stay tuned!

This second photo is a collection of beads and ideas for some spooky-fun Halloween creations!  I don't normally gravitate towards skulls and I'm very selective about those I do play with.  These are stylized and have much potential with their simple design!  Did you spy the owl and moons?  There is a cat sitting quietly in the centre and other mysteriously cool beads scattered hither and yon!
You'll have to stop by for a visit again to see what happens next!
Whee!!

Whimsy Wednesday! Shooting the Sights!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
I do hope you are enjoying the Fall weather wherever you are!
The first part of this week was full of rain and a bit of a chill so when the sun shone all day today, I grabbed my camera and took advantage of it!
First up! Fall Colours!!!
Isn't that gold just gorgeous?!!! The warm sunshine filtered through the leaves really adds depth to that rich colour! On the subject of that wonderful sunlight...

Can you feel the sun chasing away the chill for a few hours?
I can!
I love that the bits of green from the still-gr
owing leaves and beautiful sky-blue peek out amongst the warm colours!! What a lovely contrast!

This last photo is from a different portion of the woods.  This scenery always reminds me of Kira's realm in The Dark Crystal, a movie by Jim Hensen.  One can easily imagine Gelflings, faeries and other mystical beings flitting here and there in this neck of the woods!

So!  That's it for this Whimsy Wednesday!
See you on Friday!
Ciao!

Fini Friday! New Materials, New Directions!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Fini Friday!

Today is a day chock-full of adventure and events, so let's get started!
I've lots of new materials to show you!
These are suede leather bracelets, cut in strips.  I picked them up on Walkabout a few weekends back.  Aren't they gorgeous!! I'm looking forward to playing with them... dangling things off of the various strips, pulling them in a Steampunk or Art Noveau direction or...?
YAY!!!

What you see in the next photo are two squares of fabric, which are also new additions to the studio!  The lovely brown and green vine-y bit is slated to turn into a bag.  The other fabric is just awesome!  I fell in love with it but tried to talk myself out of it...until I saw the title of the design...Legend of the Mountain Faeries!!! And a bit of that had to come home with me!  Who knows what it will grow into?!
I've a few new directions I'm moving into, so stay tuned!

Speaking of tuning in....
My next BlogTalk Radio Interview is coming up soon!
Next Tues., Oct 15th at 12 Noon (CST, USA) is the October Messages From the Faeries!
Pull up a chair and a cuppa of your favorite beverage as Cheryl and I discuss the insights the Faeries have to give for the mysterious month of October!

See you Monday!
Ciao!
