Fini Friday! Faerie Pouch Fini!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to the final Fini Friday of 2012!
(It is a bit strange to think in those terms!!!!)
Last Friday, I showed you a red leather pouch I acquired from a fellow vendor at one of my December shows.
The pouch contained two empty glass bottles, just waiting to be filled!
And I have filled them!
Let me show you!!!

The first bottle is filled with all sorts of treasures of a sort that a Faerie might desire to keep close at hand!
Let's see what is in there! Hand-felted Faerie stones (from England!), a cobalt Star, Fairy leaf, Quartz Crystal(clear), Kyanite, Amber, a rose and shell bead, a spring, mechanical bits, a Fairy-sized wrench, a heart with wings, a silver leaf, and a sunset-coloured star.

The second bottle is filled with Faerie Dust! (I suppose that is predictable, huh?!) As I was securing the cork stopper in the top of the bottle, I noticed that Faerie Dust colours were arranged in rainbow and chakra colours! How appropriate and interesting! I had no plan when pouring in the Faerie Dust save using colours that made my heart sing! Faerie Dust, of course, brings good luck! This is always a good thing to have around!!!!

Let's wrap up this post with a photo of the pouch fully loaded!
I really love how this turned out and look forward to using it in the future!
Maybe you'll see it during a visit at a show and let me know what you think!
That would be grand!
Have a most excellent weekend and I'll see you on Monday! Ciao!

Fini Friday! Flowers, Faerie Dust and Dragons, Oh My!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Fini Friday!
I hope you have some fun things lined up for your weekend!
Let's start this blog post out with something fairly mellow!

These earrings have been languishing for some time as they require a degree of wire-wrapping skill and confidence that I lost (mostly the confidence) part-way through their creation!

Title: Twining
Ingredients: Glass, Artistic wire, Niobium (hypo-allergenic) earwires

Much of the wire-work I do is free-form and so it is with these! They are of my own design and designed-in-the-moment. Sometimes when I'm in the midst of that and the results are not what I'd like, I become discouraged and hide the creation away for a while...I used to do this much more often. I'm much more fearless now and am continuing working towards that end of the spectrum!
Next up are more Faerie Dust Bottles!
These are popular at shows and I love playing with glitter, so it is a win-win for everyone!  The bottle on the right shows a more dreamy mix, the center bottle is so very Pink! and the mix on the left is very warm and rich...perhaps reminiscent of something like stumbling upon a Faerie coffee shop in the Woods?

This last photo is of two delightful little dragons hand-sculptured by Nikita of Dragonrose Designs!  I'm proud to call her friend and fellow artist and she is letting me play with these handsome fellows!  I can't wait to see what they grow into!!!

So that's it for this Fini Friday post!
Below is where to find me next week!!!!

My BlogTalk Radio Interview discussing Messages From the Faeries #10!
It would fabulous to hear you in the audience!  Join us for all things Faerie!
See you on Monday!
Ciao!

Fini Friday! Faerie Inspiration!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Fini Friday!  I hope the weather in your neck of the woods is as gorgeous as it is in mine today!
I have new creations to show you that will be available for adoption either in my Etsy shoppe or this weekend!
First up!
More Faerie Dust Bottles! YAYAYAYYAY!!
These will be available tomorrow at Johnstock (details below)!

My next bit of news brings more detail on Wing Repair! The elastic that held my Faerie Winds at the shoulders finally died and I decided to replace them with more elastic, but a bit thicker! Here are those new straps!
They'll get a test flight this weekend!

Last, but not least is a new creation!
Title: Faerie Glow Charm
Ingredients: Vintage lucite, Czech glass, acrylic, hand-finished brass(USA), metal.
This creation is all about that lovely, luminous vintage lucite ring! I fell in love with their soft glow from across the room at a trade show and knew I had to create something with them! Here is the first of those creations! The clasp is the hand-finished brass spiral and large ring of the same colour from which suspends that soft, sunshine yellow ring! The brass ring slips around the whorls of the spiral for a secure hold! The charms are soft and sparkly, with flashes of colour and playful mischief here and there...and all in shapes and of things that a Faerie would treasure... There is a deeply green & blue bead, gently nestled in a Fairy-ornate beadcap...suspiciously reminiscent of the Planet Earth! We also spy an iridescent Fairy leaf, a star the colour of Spring and growing things and a Faerie ladybug for good luck! All of that which would help a Faerie to keep their glow alive!
This necklace creation is in my Etsy Shoppe now!!!

Below are details as to where to find me this weekend and I do hope you're able to come and visit!

Johnstock Saturday, June 2nd Only!
10am to 6pm
Along Johnston Street, near Crafty Planet
2833 Johnston Street NorthEast Minneapolis, MN 55418

I'll see you, if not this weekend, then on Monday!
Ciao!

Whimsy Wednesday & Fini Friday! Faerie Tales!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday!
This post is going to serve double-duty as the Whimsy Wednesday and Fini Friday post, since I'm in the midst of shows and show prep both last weekend and this weekend!
Yes! That's right! This weekend I'll be at the Saint Paul Art Crawl!!
Specifically, I'll be on the 3rd Floor Atrium of the Lowertown Lofts!

So what do I have to show you today? You might remember last Friday and the post about the emerald green pen that was still growing into completion...I am pleased to let you know that it is done!
Take a gander!
Title: Faerie Tales
Ingredients: fine and lead-free pewter, Blue Mystique Mood bead, glass, beadable pen.
The gorgeous focal bead is hand-cast in fine pewter by a husband and wife studio team in South Carolina (Green Girl Studios). The design was created by the husband, who mentioned that his inspiration for it stemmed from many of the symbols and images surrounding the wise Mystics in the movieThe Dark Crystal! Isn't that awesome?!
The second nifty thing I have to show you is a new batch of Faerie-inspired creations! These are still growing, but the idea is that these are bottles filled with various varieties of faerie dust, from the Sprite Creations Faerie Apothecary!
Ingredients: Faerie Dust, Glass, Cork.
These are fun, little creations for me to craft and enables me to play with glitter!!! Ahem! Faerie Dust!
I hope those who adopt them have as much fun with them as I do!
As you can see, these are still growing, as they need tags or labels.
So, really, both of these creations or creation sets fall under the Whimsy and the Fini theme! The pen (with the Mood bead) is both Whimsical and now complete and the Faerie Dust Bottles are surely chock-full of Whimsy and still growing!

Just FYI: The Art Crawl runs from Friday through Sunday, so there is plenty of time to see us if you're in the area!
We hope to see you there!
Ciao!
