Fini Friday! New Materials, New Directions!

Hello Hello!
Welcome to Fini Friday!
Today is a day chock-full of adventure and events, so let's get started!
I've lots of new materials to show you!

These are suede leather bracelets, cut in strips.  I picked them up on Walkabout a few weekends back.  Aren't they gorgeous!! I'm looking forward to playing with them... dangling things off of the various strips, pulling them in a Steampunk or Art Noveau direction or...?
YAY!!!

What you see in the next photo are two squares of fabric, which are also new additions to the studio!  The lovely brown and green vine-y bit is slated to turn into a bag.  The other fabric is just awesome!  I fell in love with it but tried to talk myself out of it...until I saw the title of the design...Legend of the Mountain Faeries!!! And a bit of that had to come home with me!  Who knows what it will grow into?!  
I've a few new directions I'm moving into, so stay tuned!

I've some beautiful, brightly-coloured materials to show in today's post that show a little of a new direction or two that I'm going!
These are bits of glass!

Some are tumbled bits of glass with hand-drilled holes and some are Czech glass beads of excellent quality and intriguing colours! They all remind me of bits of stained glass and are lovely to see! I've some designs in mind for some of these so stay tuned for that! 

The second thing I've to show is some new fabric that I obtained on Walkabout today!
Isn't this fabulous!! The colours! The shiny! The whimsy!!!
Many ideas have popped to mind for this... pendants...little Faerie pouches...little purses...accents in bracelets or other jewelry....and who knows what else?!!!  I'm so excited to see what happens next!! You are most welcome to join me on that adventure!!!

Whimsy Wednesday! Revamping!

Hello Hello! 

Welcome to Whimsy Wednesday! 

Here is to a fabulous week so far! 

YAY! 

As you might guess, I have things to show you that center around revamping and renewing! 

These are bits of fabric!  Why are they important?  They are part of the revamping of some of my smaller cases.  The current padding is in need of replacement and this fabric will form part of the new padding!

How is that whimsical, you might ask?  The fabric colours!  The grey is a soft, warm hue perfect for this misty, romantic day.  The sunny yellow needs no whimsical explanation in my opinion!!

I'll be certain to show the finished product, so stay tuned for that!

Let's wrap this up with something a little more fun!

These are feathers from a molting Macaw!

Two photos are included so you can see the beautiful shimmer of colour and play of light!!!

See the gorgeous green shifting into a vibrant ocean glue in those top two feathers?  

Don't you LOVE the brilliant yellow of the centre feather?  

And how lovely is the combination of the golden yellow that shifts into that azure blue?

YAY!

I've ideas for these!
